More

Shortly after midnight on New Years Day Reverend Isabelle asked for predictions for the New Year. She was specific. “The first thing that comes to you, don’t think about it, what’s there?” Everyone had specific scenarios to list. As usual, I had a word, that’s it.

“More.” The only word that was present when I asked spirit for information regarding the coming year. In the following days the word often came to me. I’d do something in excess and spirit would whisper “more.” I’d wonder

Follow up:

what Paul was doing; spirit would whisper “more.” I’d watch the news and spirit would whisper “more.” Even at work, the word “more” would echo as I’d look at the drama that played out and my participation in it. When I felt hurt that a friend had chosen to have a party on a night I couldn’t come, and actually decided that she had chosen that day intentionally because she knew I would be at work, “more” reverberated. It was then that I realized that whatever my mind chose to focus on would bring more. More drama, more food, more light…all that is first in the mind will be magnified. Can I anticipate less then? Well, I suppose if I focus on less I will get more of it, that is, I’ll get more less. However, by focusing on more there is an abundance of less. Yikes, that’s confusing.

If I listen to the voices they listen to me.
There’s more in store for the ones who let it be.
Being more is not about being in tune,
It’s about being aware that you'll create it soon,
More

Drama, pain, created in keeping with the cry of mankind for “more.”

More daydreams,
More creativity,
More saving,
More hoarding,
More dreaming
More singing,
More takeovers,
More letting go.

It’s a matter of more.
More time,
More space,
More space for time to spread out,
More light to fill the space
More space to fill the light.
